Inventory Master Setting facilitates users to choose a master between the Web-Store (Shopify or Bigcommerce) and accounting tool (QuickBooks Online or Xero) for Inventory Items.Whoever becomes the inventory master (either web store or accounting tool) controls the inventory updations.


To configure inventory master settings for your Pipemonk account, follow these steps: 


1. Login to your Pipemonk account.Your Home Page is displayed. 

Note: In case you have multiple integrations in your account, select the one for which you want to change the settings.
2.  Click View Logs & Settings.The Start Sync page is displayed.


3. Click on the Settings tab. The General Settings page is displayed.


4.  Choose Inventory from the right-hand side menu. The Inventory Settings page is displayed.



4. In the Inventory Settings page, scroll down and set the Inventory Master as per your business needs.


    • If you Choose Shopify 

    • Pipemonk will sync all the Products present in Shopify with Inventory into QuickBooks Online.
    • Whatever the Quantity on Hand in Shopifyis synced into QuickBooks Online.
    • The Quantity on Hand (QoH) information in QuickBooks is overridden by the value in Shopify.


      • If you Choose QuickBooks Online
      • Pipemonk not only syncs the Products from Shopify to QuickBooks, but also syncs the Products from QuickBooks to Shopify
      • Any new products created in QuickBooks is synced into Shopify.
      • If Publish New Products setting is set to YES, the products created by Pipemonk in Shopify is automatically published for sale.
      • Whatever the Quantity on Hand in the QuickBooks Online is synced into Shopify.
