No, Pipemonk will not create duplicates of your existing products and customers in Xero.
To avoid duplication of data in your Xero account, you need to configure your Pipemonk settings carefully. So that if there are customer, products or Invoices already present in Xero, we carefully match that data with that of data in Shopify and will not create duplicate records of the same.
We offer one option to configure to match customers
- Name
For example, if there is a customer 'John Mayer' on both sides and you choose to match customers using Name, we do not create another customer 'John Mayer' in Xero.
We also offer two options to configure to match Products. (See the below image)
- Product Name in Webstore

For example, if there is a product with name “Linen Bed sheet” on Shopify and an Item with Name "Linen Bed sheet" in Xero and you choose to match products using Name, we match these two corresponding records instead of creating a duplicate product.
