As an online business, many stores deal with both wholesale and retails customers. In such a scenario, it becomes very important for them to maintain the pricing for both the customers separately to prevent the goof-up. This also helps you in tracking the revenue you generate from wholesale and retail businesses separately.

We understand the need and have come up with a new feature in Pipemonk product which will assist you in taking control over your wholesale and retail pricing in Shopify and QuickBooks Online. To make it clearer, let’s understand it with an example.

Case-A: When Shopify is the Inventory Master

You have a product- A with wholesale price as $20 and the retail price as $40. As Shopify allows the tracking of retail costs only, to manage wholesale prices, you need to do it manually in QuickBooks Online. So, you changed the product price as $20 in QBO after the first sync. Now, with every subsequent sync from Shopify to QBO, you don’t want this wholesale price to get overwrite by retail price in QBO.

With Pipemonk, it is achievable now. You just need to configure few setting as shown in the below image.

  • Login to your Pipemonk account and Go to the Dashboard.

  • In case you have multiple integrations in your account, select the one for which you want to change the setting

  • Under the 'Settings' tab, click on the 'Inventory' section.
  • Now choose what all entities you want Pipemonk to sync from your Shopify to QuickBooks online. (see the below image)

Once done, now the wholesale price in the QBO will not be overwritten by the retail price in subsequent syncs.

Case-B: When QuickBooks Online is the Inventory Master

Now, with every subsequent sync from QBO to Shopify, you don’t want the retail price in the Shopify to be overwritten by the wholesale price of the product.
