If you have any existing products in Xero, choose the method which is to be used to match those products with that of Shopify. This avoids duplication of those products.
You can choose amongst the following options:
Product Name in Webstore
If you choose Product Name, we will match the existing Product names in Xero with the Product Name in Shopify, else will create a new product.
In case of variants, we expect the naming convention to be strictly in the format Product Name -- Variant Name.
For example, if iPhone is a product name, and has variants like 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, color variants like black and white the variants should be recorded in Xero as iPhone -- 8GB / black, iPhone -- 16GB / white, iPhone -- 32GB / black so that duplicates of these variants are not created by us.
SKU in Webstore
If you choose SKU, we will match the existing Product name in Xero with the SKU of the product (or variant) in Shopify, else will create a new product i.e SKU in Shopify should match product name in Xero. If you choose SKU, please ensure that all the products and variants in Shopify have unique SKU and match exactly with the corresponding product in Xero.
